Striations,
Rich, limpid saturated,
In silence the hills are speaking,
Quiet, my heart,
The midst of me,
Oh stone, of earth,
Your mouth opens,
The language floats on the wind,
Listen��you hear,
Make earth live�.live,
In their mass,
The mountain tops walk,
Not seen by my dull eye,
The stones march,
To their own drum.
Like a village your mounds gather,
Brows knotted in vast study,
Mere human below,
A dot in the bumpy landscape -
