Description
Horseshoe Lake, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
A little hidden secret south of Jasper with steep colorful cliffs, a beautiful blue-green lake in the shape of a horsehoe and a lack of crowds of tourists make this a real delight.
The contiguous national parks of Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho, as well as the Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber provincial parks, studded with mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, canyons and limestone caves, form a striking mountain landscape. All parks mentioned above were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1984.
