Description
Crowfoot Mountain reflected in Bow Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
The Crowfoot Glacier sits on the northeastern flank of the mountain. The mountain was named in 1959 after the glacier.
It is reflected in Bow Lake, a small lake on the Bow River at an altitude of 1920 m.
The contiguous national parks of Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho, as well as the Mount Robson, Mount Assiniboine and Hamber provincial parks, studded with mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, canyons and limestone caves, form a striking mountain landscape. All parks mentioned above were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1984.
